Fresh flowers are always the perfect centrepiece on your dining room table.

The best time to pick your flowers is in the cool, early morning. Use sharp secateurs to cut and put stems into a cool bucket of water. Recut the stems at a 45-degree angle before placing them in a vase filled with cool tepid water. Remove any leaves that sit below the water. Keep the vase out of direct sunlight and replace the water every second day.
