WINE NOTES

2021 Felton Road MacMuir Pinot Noir, $97 Now we’re talking. This is the newest addition to Felton Road’s cult-status single-vineyard wines and is made from MacMuir Vineyard on Felton Road. It’s dark, juicy, full-bodied and impressively silky. 2019 Doctors Flat Bannockburn Pinot Noir, $55 Dark cherries and firm, smooth, spicy flavours make this wine one of Bannockburn’s most structured, long-lived pinot noirs. It comes from winemaker Steve Davies’ vineyard, possibly the highest altitude wine site in Bannockburn. 2021 Felton Road Block 2 Chardonnay Bannockburn, $68 Gotta love this wine's honesty and lack of pretension. It boasts a smooth, creamy texture, lively acidity and great concentration of flavour. 2018 Calvert Bannockburn Pinot Noir, $66 Fragrant, fresh and gently fruity in taste, this pinot has lively acidity supporting intense flavours of red cherries and ripe plums. 2019 Carrick Riesling Bannockburn, $26 A zesty riesling from Carrick Winery's certified organic vineyard in Bannockburn, where the elevated site produces wines of vibrant, juicy intensity and freshness to balance a light touch of fruitiness on the lingering finish.
